Is this the worst of time for anyone else's diet?

I can be good all day but when it gets to this time, the kids are in bed and I've sat down I could stuff food into my mouth like there's no tomorrow.

Currently resisting the urge for toast slathered in butter or Cadburys.

I used to be like this. I used to sit at this time of night and stew about all the food in the kitchen. I'd usually give up and have a binge of anything and everything I could.

Weirdly, as I got older, that went away. I have dinner and that's it now, a cup of tea maybe or a can of Pepsi max but that's it. No urge to eat, it's weird!

I really hope that happens to me! I can't even buy things or I eat them, I have such little willpower.

I decided to quit fridge raiding. I don't eat anything after dinner now. I think of it like fasting 12 hours, better for my blood sugar.

Did you just go cold turkey Eva? I've the willpower of a gnat.

Yes that’s why I go to bed as soon as the kids are in bed - I can’t eat if I’m asleep!
(Actually I go to bed then as shattered as up eleventy billion times feeding ds2 - but it works to stop me eating too)

Haha I also go to bed once the youngest is in his!
I don’t actually go to sleep, I just come upstairs and either have a bath, read, go up and hang out with dds, anything that doesn’t involve being downstairs and near the kitchen. Helps during the winter months anyway when it’s dark and you just want to cosy up in bed!! Dp watches a lot of box sets in the evening or films which I don’t watch but I always have books on the go and look forward to reading them.
I also have a weird technique for shifting a bit of weight - I eat ‘like a thin person’ Grin sounds a bit odd but I’ve shifted a stone and a half in about 6 weeks without much work to be honest. I was mainly terrible for snacking and eating junk lunches at work. Now I just say no to snacks (like my slender colleague!) and take a lunch - sometimes a proper meal from the night before, sometimes a random assortment of fridge raidings - just a smaller portion. And a smaller evening meal.

I brush my teeth after tea so I’m not tempted to snack of an evening. Boring but effective.
