Would love some skin care advice and I know if I go to Boots whoever I speak to will just recommend their products.
When I was in my twenties I seemed all up to date with the best products/makeup. Since having children I feel completely left behind. I just wash, moisturise with often cheap own brand products and use a La Roche-Posay suncream for the face (my only luxury product)
Would appreciate any advice/product recommendations. I'm in my thirties now and thinking about anti aging but I do have combination/oily skin. TIA

I use proactiv and it’s amazing. It costs around £20-30 a month but it’s on offer quite alot. It comes with a facial cleanser wash type thing, a pore targeting treatment that is put on after then moisturiser, but you can get different sets. I use the retexturising toner and mark fading pads too.

I used to suffer badly with acne and combination skin, dry peeling bits with an oily nose and chin! Now my face is smooth, acne free and never dry or oily anymore. It honestly is the best skincare in my opinion. I think you can get just 1 month trials too

I’ve recently swapped all my luxury products for superdrugs own range- vitamin C. My skin has never been better. I had very dry and dull skin, and i have been getting lots of compliments on my skin as well so its not just me who has noticed it.

Vitamin C is great for anti aging, if you dont want to use a drugstore brand, Mario badescu products are really good as well imo

I’m in my mid 30s and am with you on the anti-aging thing! I love the face creams and stuff from Clinique. I have dry skin on my nose but oily forehead(!) and I use the pink moisture surge moisturiser in the morning followed by their Superprimer face primer under make up. Then at night I try to put on the Smart moisturiser. This seems to work the best for my skin out of everything I’ve tried.
I quite liked Laura Geller’s face spackel as an under make up base.
Benefit’s Triple Performing Face Emulsion is nice but didn’t seem to leave my skin as nice for as long as Clinique.
No7’s Protect and Perfect used to be my favourite but I found I had to exfoliate first, then use the serum and cream together for it to have consistently good results.
I’ve tried the moisturisers in Lush which are lovely but felt a bit thick and greasy on me. (But they really help my mum’s skin which tends to go quite red)

If you’re heading to Boots they normally have free gifts at the Clinique counter. If you end up buying online LookFantastic and FeelUnique can be great on price or larger sizes.
Good luck!
