Is TU clothing made in the same factory as next ? Is it good quality ?

I don't know where it's made, but I do know that all the stuff I've bought there (a lot!) has always been good quality.

GinTimeAtHome · 04/04/2019 13:52

I don’t know who makes it but I like it.

Kids clothes are good quality and I’ve got some lovely top and jumpers. I only ever buy when they have their 25% off.

EssentialHummus · 04/04/2019 14:00

Kids' clothing is good quality, though sizing is variable ime.

TheSpottedZebra · 04/04/2019 14:03

They'd buy product lines in from many different suppliers, with different factories in different countries.

cheeseypizza · 04/04/2019 14:12

I've tried the kids clothing in the past.

BelulahBlanca · 04/04/2019 14:14

I really like their kids stuff.

EBearhug · 04/04/2019 14:15

I have always had good quality stuff. Proper pockets, too.

babysharkah · 04/04/2019 14:16

Don't know where it's made but whatever I've bought for me it the kids has been fab, and my stuff always gets complemented on. Sometimes there's nothing nice but when there is you can get some really good things. I highly rate their denim and school uniform, especially on 25% off and no I definitely don't work for them!!

cheeseypizza · 04/04/2019 14:18

Excellent. Will keep my eyes peeled for the 25% off.

Oh, and I have a winter coat from there that gets loads of compliments! £30 in the sales.

icelollycraving · 04/04/2019 14:23

I love Tu. I think they market right at me sometimes, middle aged and chubby. (No offence to others!!)
The school uniform is good except the jumpers.
I’ve had loads from them and all really wash well. Jesus, I’m turning into my mother.

jenthelibrarian · 04/04/2019 14:34

I rate their exercise gear, got some nice leggings that were a good generous length and washed well.

Peanut91 · 04/04/2019 14:36

I buy pretty much all my LOs clothes from there and love it

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/04/2019 14:44

The next 25% off events in a couple of weeks, check a week on Tuesday.

cheeseypizza · 04/04/2019 15:07

Thanks fluffy.

Me to, I will only buy my leggings from Tu because there're brilliant. Shame they don't seemed to have had much choice for a while now, I was expecting them to have loads in January.

StormyLovesOdd · 04/04/2019 15:45

I love the quality of TU Clothing and have brought lots from there in the past, half my wardrobe is probably from TU but lately I can't seem to find anything I like. Some of the prints they have in at the moment are horrible, really clashing 1970's style and horrible really high and even sometimes frilly necklines on most of the tunic tops/dresses.

Gertie75 · 04/04/2019 17:17

I buy loads from there and it's great quality, washes well, better than Next stuff and much cheaper.

They always have 25% off in the school holidays starting on the Tuesday, my local one has got a great sale on at the moment with loads at 50%, I've kitted the kids out for the summer, I also got myself two hoodies, one down to £4 and one £3.75!

There's a high turnover so if you don't see anything you like give it a couple of weeks and there will be different things.

Rockbird · 04/04/2019 17:21

The young kids range is lovely, older kids is pretty bad I find. Hardly anything for 11yo DD1 who doesn't want sparkles and unicorns etc and DD2 has outgrown the younger kids range at 7. It's a shame because both Sainsbury's and Asda have lovely clothes for younger girls but they stop at 6-7 and 5-6 respectively but DD2 still loves the prints.

BIWI · 04/04/2019 18:08

That's the fashion though @StormyLovesOdd!

BobbinThreadbare123 · 04/04/2019 18:12

I have loads of Tu clothes. Always get compliments on them. Also, if I've spent four quid on a sale skirt and it gets damaged at work, I won't cry about it. They are better quality than Next and some of my items actually have lasted longer than M&S stuff and a Fat Face top I had.

lotusbell · 04/04/2019 18:19

Good quality in my experience although not liking a lot at the moment. Needs a better petite range and quite poor for going out of stock quickly. Also agree on older kids range, would struggle to find anything suitable for my 12 yo. 25% off event is regular enough.

cheeseypizza · 04/04/2019 18:28

Looking forward to the 25% off and I can get some new clothes.

I'm 40 and a size 14. I have a few bits. I love the clothes for my two toddlers too especially smart stuff and pajamas.

I live in the Med and in summer I'm in swimwear nearly every day. Their swimwear is fantastic. Great designs and colours, excellent fit and the one I got last year still looks like new it's washed really well.

z4zie · 04/04/2019 20:02

Tu has good quality stuffs and washes very nicely. Stay away from tesco's F&F.
