Ear plugs

Not really sure where to post this but can anyone recommend (or remind me of the name of those expense metal looking ones from Amazon) some really good ear plugs? They need to drown out some really heavy snoring! My partner snores very loudly and we don't currently share a bed and haven't done for most of our relationship. I'm currently on a fold out bed on my sons floor which is not ideal and I want to get back into bed! There are a few health issues going going on so o know the ideal would be to stop the snoring but for now, I need to try some mega noise blocking earplugs!

The metal ones are Flare Audio Isolate. I wear Quies foam earplugs which come in a pack of three, but echo the pp who recommended the Snore Store. Their variety pack is worth trying to see what suits you best.

The ones that work the best for me are the wax kind like these: www.boots.com/boots-muffle-wax-earplugs-5-pairs-10114104. Foam plugs end up being very irritating but I can use wax every night. They're a bit big so I split them and use one for both ears.

My dh's snoring has improved 80% by sleeping on a foam wedge. I also find it's much worse on the rare occasion when he has more than a small amount of alcohol.

the Boots wax ones (they look like miniature candles), in green little box. You mould them to your earshae. They drown out everything, I swear by them.

Search silicone ear plugs on eBay, about £2.99 for 7 pairs. Amazing.

You may need to try several brands until you find something comfortable for you.

I have custom moulded ones which are uncomfortable beyond an hour, like Howard Leigh max very much, and find the 3m Christmas tree like ones best for quickly and easily putting in and out but can’t sleep in them.

The metal ones are a complete waste of time, there is a reason they don’t state an SNR for them...

I agree with the two previous posters who say Boots wax muffles earplugs - really, really good.

I don't like the feel of the wax ones and found they sometimes fell out. Everyone is different.

Howard Leight earplugs helped me survived three years in awful university accommodation full of back to back parties. You can buy taster packets from Amazon and they sell them in boxes of 200.

Both of these are amazing.
I work shifts and live opposite a kids play park as well as living with a DH who snores like mad and these save my sanity.

The pink and yellow ones are Howard Leight ones and you get them on amazon and eBay.

I use ear plugs marketed for women as my ears are very small and I find the normal ones just work their way out. The women ones are not just pink (!), they are smaller for smaller ears.

I tried metal ones - they were very expensive and no good. The cheap yellow and pink ones a previous poster recommended are the best I've found - I also have small ears!

Primark! £1 for a pack of4 or something. My DH snores and for the past 4 weeks ive slept great. Dont hear him coming into bed!

Hush Plugz are better for me than the Boots silicone ear plugs. Hush Plugz are silicone but do not get greasy at normal body temperature like the Boots silicone wax ear plugs as I keep the ear plugs in all night.

You can get them from e-bay or Savers.

My husband snores, the Hush Plugz only keep a certain level of noise out. Such as the very noisy dawn chorus in May. When his snoring gets unbearable, I de-camp to the spare room. I'm lucky to be able to do this.

I've yet to get any ear plugs that block out his snoring completely. It's worse if he's had a little alcohol to drink.
