Out of date steroid cream

I've got 3/4 of a tube of steroid cream left that I use for my eczema that goes out of date at the end of the month. Will it still be ok to continue to use after the use by date? It was nearly a tenner on prescription so reluctant to just throw it away.

My last tube was over a year out of date before I got a new one. It was definitely still working ok even though it was pretty old.

Nah, if it's hydrocortizone, I used it yonks past use by date. Still does the trick.

Some compounds change and degrade over time. It probably won't harm you and may still work but may not be as effective as it should be.
If you're applying it to your face, I would buy a new one, not worth the risk. Especially if it's something you use long term.
