Anyone else’s toddler constantly ill?

This is the 6th time this year I’ve had to take time off work for dd due to illness. Colds/sickness bugs/throat infection/ear infection.

She’s just started nursery which I know is the cause of this but it is relentless! Her dad (we are not together) refuses to take a day off work to look after her, but that is a whole other thread.

Please tell me it gets better before I get fired for taking so much time off work Confused

For us it got better after two months of nursery.

I could have written this myself, only I have two dc who have been constantly sick since Christmas and im pregnant so catching everything myself too... at one point we were in and out hospital weekly and all on antibiotics at once - I dare not say it but we all seem to be getting better this month! I hope your lo does too!

Same here! Started with a sickness bug about 2 months ago and it's been non stop colds, coughs, an ear infection and my youngest has just had scarlet fever. Think this has been the first week since that no one is ill so fingers crossed that's it

I had this with DD. In desperation I tried giving her multivitamins and an Actimel every day. Touch wood, she hasn’t had anything requiring her to be off nursery/school since.

My ds has been getting ill since Christmas, colds colds teething colds and two bouts of hand foot and mouth. Started nursery in Feb. When does it end?

Sorry you’re all going through this as well. I knew dd was going to pick up some bugs, but not like this!

I’ve bought some immune system syrup stuff in the vague hope of warding some bugs off so she might actually manage a full week at nursery.

We went through it and they seem to have had minimal illness since, now teens, so there is hope. But I do think immune systems are something of a lottery.
