With about 20 very loved soft toys.

Dcs all late teens. I have a cupboard filled with old soft toys. They aren't fit for charity. Have been too 'loved'. Can't face the tip. Seems so wrong but have been 'moving them around the house' for years. Am I being pathetic ? Kids see them and go awwww no mum don't do it - but obviously don't need 20 soft toys in their rooms ... 2 at uni and 1 left home ... so only 1 left at home.
What have you done with your children's cuddlies. ?

Make them choose 2 faves each and save those. Any decent ones to charity shop then dump the rest?

Maybe take some photos first and save the photos for memories?

I'd keep each DC's very very favorite.
I'm not much help though as other much loved toys we're taken to the tip when we moved to make way for the new(my DC are only 8&9 but the amount they had collected over the years was ridiculous).
I am late 30s and kept my very favorite teddy until last year when unfortunately it made it's way (we think) into the toys we took to the tip.Sad

If you want them to have some use, could you donate them to a dog charity? Dogs love having a soft toy to snuggle

Choose one each to keep and give the rest to a friend with a puppy

Love the idea of giving them to a dog charity . That is genius. They have their favourites already. So this lot are off to the dogs trust. (If they want them) ! Xx

When i left home I took mine with me. If they have been left behind obviously not that loved. Tell them to pick them up or they go.
