What do you mean by 'like' as in fancying or friendship?

Thing is in life your not going to like everyone so with some people you fake a politeness as it’s betetr than being a nasty bitch.

People pretend to like others all the time. Decent people are polite etc even if they really dislike Susan 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lots of people I don’t really like for lots of reasons but I’m polite, I ask how are you etc and make conversation because I have no reason to be nasty to them.

Not fancying, but much more than ordinary liking. Over the top ness, followed by freezing cold.

I'm trying to understand how it's benefitting them. It's certainly of zero benefit to me, in fact it's very hurtful. But they must be getting something out of it.

Could it just be your perception? Or a misunderstanding?

If for example you're going by text messages for communication rather than face to face then the tone can often be read incorrectly and meaning misconstrued. Is that the sort of thing you mean?

I think sometimes it’s done to be polite.

Maybe they like fucking with people's heads.

Maybe they tried to start and then didn't/ Maybe they are weird. Maybe it's about them.

Trick is to not care what people who don't care about you think.
