I have an 11 year old who keeps lying, nothing big, for me example saying the au pair gave him food in his bedroom and she didn't, but it is constant. I have spoken to him about the consequences of lying, taken things away from him as a punishment but he just doesn't care.
He is a lovely and kind boy but recently he's started to push the boundaries a lot more and started being really disrespectful.
The lying has been there for years but the rest is more recent behaviour change.
I am at my wits end of what to do before he gets into trouble.
