Stupid question- please help!

I've just discovered you can grill sausages (don't judge me! I've survived this long lol)

However.... When using the grill ... should the oven door be ajar or completely shut? 🤔

I think it needs to be open. Be carefully grilling sausages as I walked off and left them once and the built in cupboard above the grill was burning. The fat can get caught alight easily.

You need to check your oven instructions. Mine specifically say door needs to be open.
How do you usually cook them? I find they cook more evenly just in the oven, only need to turn them once. With the grill you have to constantly watch them so they don’t burn and have to turn them a few times.

Depends on your oven. I've got a double one and one says open, the other closed.

I keep the door open but make sure it's clean or it will catch fire personally I like sausages grilled in the George Forman

Electric oven here, and our manual says closed. You should be able to find your manual online somewhere.
