What app? Does it state anywhere on it or in the terms and conditions that you'd be charged, or is it something you opted into after downloading the app?

Hang on I will look, I can't even find it on my bloody phone Sad

Is it via apple? Tbh I found them hugely helpful when ds ran up a huge in-app purchases bill

SneakyGremlins · 02/04/2019 16:49

How long have you been using it? Was it a "free for a week then £99/year" type thing?

oldfool1 · 02/04/2019 16:51

Simple habit meditation - 88.99 Jesus Christ I can't afford that

Yes literally down loaded it last week and just obviously missed the small print god I'm so stupid - yes through Apple. I have a PayPal receipt but no Apple receipt yet

Try contacting PayPal? Although they may say get in touch with apple.

TheInvestigator · 02/04/2019 16:57

It says that in-app purchases run from £4.79 to £119.99 so did you maybe purchase an option without realising it was a purchase and not free content?

It's worth contacting apple and asking for a refund but if it did tell you the cost then they might not give you the refund.

BiggFactHunt · 02/04/2019 16:58

God I did this with an exercise app. Didn’t realise downloading the app basically signed you up for a subscription. I emailed the app people I think and asked them to cancel it and they did luckily.
So fucking sneaky of them.

oldfool1 · 02/04/2019 17:02

I'm going round in circles with Apple but will e mail the app people direct - fuck meeeeeee!!!!

Did you get an email receipt at all?, sometimes there might be a refund option. Normally it's only on purchases but I recently had a subscription charge and luckily had this option on the receipt. Also cancelled the subscription in the apple ID section on phone.

BlueEyedPersephone · 02/04/2019 18:03

Quote the consumer act for 14 or 7 cooling off period for online purchases, prove you haven't had any benefit and they might refund all or most of the charge

oldfool1 · 02/04/2019 19:14

I think they might have refunded it, im so bastard relieved! Will wait to see my PayPal refunded before I get ahead of myself though
