I’ve had a pretty horrible few days and want to cheer myself up! I don’t want to buy clothes or anything like that, can’t really go for treatments at the moment so just want to Order something online that will be delivered and will make me smile! So, I’m wondering is there something you own (not a big expensive thing) that just makes you happy?
Totally vague I know but I’m often going to people houses and spotting things I love so though mumsnet may be a good place to ask.
For context I’m a late 30’s mum of 2 small ones!

I also have Pyrex envy, but our already overstuffed kitchen cupboards will be relieved to learn that I CBA trawling charity shops and car boot sales, or eBay, which is where I imagine one would find such objects of beauty.

My Emma bridge water mug, it’s cream and spotty (was a gift) and very big, I love having a decent cup of coffee from it in the morning!

My dc got me a coconut candle when I was in hospital

That’s about it really I’m so bloody easy to please Grin

Oh and my butter dish, I can’t eat butter at the moment but I do smile at it sat on the kitchen worktop was £11 from Laura Ashley!

Hi!
I agree with the Pyrex collection - I need a Pyrex collection now!!

So in a similar vein I would suggest starting a collection of something that you love and can build on through the years. More is better when it comes to self gratification!

I started collecting Metamec clocks back when I was a student and they only cost a couple of quid.
Sadly that is not the case today...

I know for sure that these are my dearest treasures, since when they were on board a burning ship together with all our other household goods they were almost the only things that I fretted about losing.

Enjoy, and good luck!

My cream, stoneware Starbucks coffee mug, £14.99. Really nice shape, perfect size handle and it holds the perfect amount of coffee.

My Clinique lippy + primer in Bare Pop, £19.99. Just the perfect, flattering neutral shade for me.

See, I have an old ipad and barely use it ... I just don't know what to do with it Confused

I have a small collection of snowglobes. I've always loved them and two years ago asked for one for Christmas to start my collection. Now I have 7, they're on my coffee table and I love picking them up and shaking them. I'm now on the lookout for unusual ones.

A string of fairy lights can cheer up a room.

Hope you feel better soon 💐

Depends what your budget is.
These are all expensive-ish items but I adore them -
Ipad, IPhone, Nintendo Switch, Beats wireless, noise cancelling headphones.
I’m also a technophobe so am constantly amazed that I love these things so much.

Candle
Plants
Art

In act the art should come first.
Something bought from a real person who will be doing a little happy dance because you bought it from them, and they are proud of it and the made it and somebody loves it.

Etsy is the place to go for that
