A bird has managed to get into my cavity wall, presumably via the loft. The poor thing is frantically flapping around in there. What on earth can I do?

Can you get into the loft? If you put some food beside where it got in, it may get out again into the loft....

I'd phone the RSPB for advice

I had this, we were advised by RSPB to leave everything open, possibly with some food left just outside wherever they got in. Bird made its own way out in about 2/3 hours.

You'll need to worry and contact the RSPB if it breaks a wing in there from being so frantic.
