Exploding e-cigs

Has anyone ever had their eyes-cig explode? How safe are they really? My friend had hers explode in her pocket last week. She's got minor burns but her car and phone are badly damaged. Scared the shit out of her kids as they were in the car with her. She's fine and hopefully it will get her to give up vaping. Always told her they were bad for her!

They're no more dangerous than other lithium batteries. They should be turned off before putting them in your pocket.

Interesting first post BTW. Journo?

Jamesthecatswhiskers · 01/04/2019 21:54

Ah no, not a journo. NC. Regular, especially on brexit, FWR, and relationships. Should have said I'd NC, sorry Blush I have a healthy dose of paranoia about being connected to my other posts, especially on relationships due to history of dv in my marriage.

She's not said what caused it explode and I don't know anything about them really apart from not liking all those sickly sweet clouds that seem to be everywhere these days. Better than the smell of smoke though.

How is her car damaged?

Do you want people to give up phones, clocks, laptops, ipads etc too?

She was sat in her car when it exploded and the seat caught fire. Brand new lease car too Confused
