Tortilla wrap filling ideas - lunch

MadameDD · 01/04/2019 12:50

Probably been living under a rock but have recently tried wraps - tortilla/skinny wraps with left over fajita fillings (e.g. chicken, steak, peppers and onions along with guacamole, salsa etc) for lunch at home and sometimes work/school. I love fajitas with wraps for dinner but not really had for packed lunch.

Any other ideas for fillings in them?

Slices of left over duck (the packs of smoked duck work well too) shredded crisp lettuce, chopped spring onions and hoi-sin sauce.

Chopped chicken, shredded crisp lettuce. thin slivers of parmesan and Caesar dressing.

Tuna flakes, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced hard boiled egg, mayonnaise, chopped olives.

Coronation chicken.

Veggie burgers are lovely in a wrap with salad and spicy mayo

M&S used to do lovely beetroot and spinach wraps the kids loved them

HolyForkingShirt · 01/04/2019 13:26

Tuna, red pesto, spinach, sundried tomatoes, red pepper, mozzarella if you like cheese

Saladd0dger · 01/04/2019 14:03

If I’m at home I have bacon sausages scrambled eggs and bbq sauce mmm
For out and about I have spinach with sliced meat/salad cream/pickles etc.
For lunch boxes I do the kids pizza type fillings.

WinterHeatWave · 01/04/2019 14:15

Grated cheese, grated carrot, cucumber batons and a sprinkling of raisins.
Probably had mayo in there originally, but I hate the stuff!

Chicken and roasted Mediterranean veg, with a bit of pesto.

Falafel, houmous, cucumber, mayonnaise and harissa.

These ideas are great - thanks all!

I'm trying to be a bit more veggie so bought some Quorn fake ham slices - which I'm hoping will be nice.

ilovepinkgin33 - I'm surprised how much DD4.5 likes them with my left over chicken/steak, pepper, onions, dips combos but she really likes them which is good. The only thing she's not too keen on is not overly spicy food so I don't do that for her.

WinterHeatWave - I'm not a mayo fan either - don't mind it in a home made egg and cress mayo sandwich but on salads or anything, no thanks!
