Curly Girl method and swimming

Any CG friendly swimming tips? Do I need to use a sulphate shampoo to get rid of the chlorine after every swim? Or would a sulphate-free shampoo be good enough?

I'm going on holiday, so looking forward to swimming in the tropics but scared of ruining my hard-earned curls....

TIA

As much as possible I try to avoid getting my hair wet if it’s a chlorinated pool but I’m much more relaxed if it’s the sea or salt water pool. But for all swimming I take a blob of my regular conditioner and coat my dry hair before tying it up. Then afterwards I wash it with regular sulphate free shampoo and conditioner.

Thanks, @ExpressedWays - that's what I was planning to do.

Co-washing is also fine to remove the chlorine apparently, just do it as soon as possible. And more deep conditioners Smile

I just co wash

Co washing is what I do now anyway. I was just wondering whether something stronger is needed to get rid of the chlorine. Good to know that cowashing is enough.
