Does anyone use Aldi washing powder?

Does it seem different to you? A stronger smell?

We've been using it for years but the latest box stinks all perfumey. I liked it before as there wasn't an over powering smell. Don't know if they have changed it, it's just this batch or if it's me?!

One of the main reasons I use it is that it's barely perfumed, I really hope they haven't changed it.

I use their powder tablets & I really hope they haven't changed the formula as I also buy it because it's only lightly fragranced.

I used to use it but thought it became more perfumed a few years ago (the non-bio).

Ive switched to Asda which seems the least smelly non-bio

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like over the top smelly powder. It's the powder non bio box we use. Might have to give the asda one a shot.

I'm a very long way from an Asda. I wonder if Lidl is any good.

jackparlabane · 31/03/2019 20:09

We got Aldi recently and it was more smelly and not quite as nice as Lidl, which I usually use. I go to Lidl just to stock up on laundry and dishwasher stuff and a few other things.

I use the non bio liquid - no strong smell, I think.

Mumshappy · 31/03/2019 20:23

I bought some non bio liquid yesterday. Its more scented than normal i noticied straight away.

CitrusDreams · 31/03/2019 21:19

This one from boots is quite good for a low scent washing powder:

I love Aldi, but they're an absolute nightmare for changing products, or discontinuing something for a while, then bringing it back in new packaging but it's a completely different product.

If it's not broke, don't fix it Aldi!

Roomba · 31/03/2019 22:34

I bought and used some yesterday (always used it for ages). I can't say I noticed it smelled any stronger at all?

Roomba · 31/03/2019 22:35

Oh should say I use the bio one, maybe that's different?

ExpletiveDelighted · 31/03/2019 22:38

Mine's the coloureds one in the purple box.

Theoldwoman · 01/04/2019 07:22

I do! I haven't noticed it is different, but I like ones that have a strong smell so I don't mind if it is stronger!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/04/2019 11:33

I stopped using it a while back as it didn't seem to dissolve in the machine and left white marks over the clothes. I'm using the cheapest Tesco bio gel now at £2 and really like it.
