Does anyone know about Myra Electric Showers please?

We have a Myra Zest electric shower.
It has a unit obviously and then a switch on the outside of the bathroom.
When I switch the outside switch on its lighting up but goes off when we turn the actual shower unit on and the shower has stopped working. As soon as shower is turned off light comes on again.

We are in private rental but landlord is useless and it will likely be weeks before it's sorted if not months :(

Anyone any ideas and how big a job it is? I might sort it myself rather that wait for the landlord if it's not a massive issue.

Electrician DBIL says it could be a number of things - not enough power, switch burnt out, etc. He said you'd probably be better off getting someone out to have a look x

Thanks! The not enough power would make sense as the orange light is dimmer on the switch.
Just to add by sort it myself I mean get someone out.
I'm not about to start playing with electrics myself.

I have called Mira out before, twice actually, and got a really reasonable, good service both times.
