I’d go to the pharmacist and ask them

DH has this but not quite as bad. He uses diprobase ointment and Vaseline when he showers. GP has never offered any useful solution and he's been twice.

I have in ear eczema and only prescription drops and a prescription cream called trimovate works, however in times of desperation i have used a little hydrocortisone and it has been effective , hopefully you have some, but i think you can buy it?

My used to get this. I used to apply E46 cream with ear buds to get into the nooks and crannies

I also use diprobase ointment. I put a bit on a cottonbud or a clean finger and rub it in.

It's really painful if I dont and the scratching sometimes turns into ear infections.

Try taking some piriton for a day or two and keep creaming.
