please help me with my washing machine crisis!

I turned the washing machine on with something stuck in the door so it isn't sealed shut properly (surely it shouldn't let you do that?). I turned it off when I noticed water leaking out, but what now? There isn't loads of water in at the moment. It wouldn't all come flooding out if I could open the door and remove the thing that's stuck, but it won't let me open the door once the cycle has started. Is there a solution to that? Some kind of over ride? I don't know where the instruction book is.
It's a Samsung if that helps.

Can you turn it to spin do thst the cycle automatically drains before spinning?

dearohdearohdear9 · 30/03/2019 13:15

turn it off at the plug and wait a few minutes, that works with mine. (hotpoint ultra)

You should be able to google a pdf of the manual.

LIZS · 30/03/2019 13:15

Can you move it on to the drain cycle?

llangennith · 30/03/2019 13:38

Drain cycle no spin.

Palominoo you win the prize for averting disaster in my kitchen today! Thank you very much. Even my dad, who fixed everything in the house himself when we were kids, didn't know the answer. I couldn't work out which model it was to download the manual. It doesn't seem to have a drain cycle, but it does have a spin cycle that drained the water away. 4 minutes until the spin cycle is done and I can check if this has ruined DD's swimsuit (much easier to replace than a flooded kitchen). Then to move on to the large piles of bilious cat vomit on the floors, checking that the ant in the hallway DD pointed out is alone and not part of an infestation of ants. Anyone know how to clean bright yellow cat vomit from a cuddly Suzy Sheep that isn't machine washable?! Fortunately, DC are not bothering me at the moment, because they are apparently making me something for Mother's Day and I can't go in the living room.
