So have the remaining mixture ready to do the rest. Can I add anything to it to make moister???

Milk- not too much. Just a splash.

Overseasmom100 · 30/03/2019 12:49

I thought that...it would loosen the mixture but would it make them moister when baked.

I'd add milk and maybe a dash of oil.

1/2 tbsp of oil, or some marge

Cook for less time? I always leave cakes wetter than the skewer test and they’re fine.

Oil a good idea...dont think I used enough butter in original mix... Ive only got veg oil

Veg oil will be fine.

What's the recipe?

Overseasmom100 · 30/03/2019 14:43

Ummm so put in a splash of milk and half tablespoon veg oil...better than they were but still bit on dryish side but better. Sure DS and DH wont notice. Thank you Mumsnetters you've helped again Grin

Next time if they're still dry when baked srabe a few holes in the and soak them on simple syrup/orange juice/the booze of your choice. 😂😁
