Cereal purists or mash up?

LindaLa · 30/03/2019 09:23

I am currently working my way through a bowl of crunchy nut, cocopops and cocoa shreddies.

Dp has called me weird.

Am I?
Should he be ex DP?

I'm with your DH on this one Grin

Weetabix + Aldi granola for me today.

Saying that your combination is a bit deviant OP.

RonSwansonsMustacheComb · 30/03/2019 09:27

I watched a colleague eat a bowl of weetabix and cheerios. I considered taking disciplinary action against him. Gross misconduct, literally.

Your DH is correct Grin

ApolloandDaphne · 30/03/2019 09:28

I am a purist, only one cereal in the bowl at a time. DH likes a mash up, usually bran flakes, all bran and muesli.

LindaLa · 30/03/2019 09:33
Grin I kind of love being called a deviant of cereal! It was so good!

I’m a purist myself but often offer my son (3) “mixy up cereals” for breakfast because he’s more likely to eat it/not get bored halfway through.

Not my personal preference but wouldn’t be offended by someone else having it - you go ahead OP

FiveLittlePigs · 30/03/2019 09:56

I'll add to muesli or fruit and fibre because I prefer a higher ratio of fruit than the packet. I've done mixes of cereal when there's maybe one weetabix left and odd bits at the bottom of cereal boxes (not the crumby powder though!)

I wouldn't criticise anyone else for customising their cereal though. Grin

You are a philistine!

In future you must use an array of small bowls and place one cereal per bowl and eat in succession.

I pray your husband is not already looking around to replace you, although it would be quite understandable.

Mash up is wrong - I am a total purist.
My XH used to wait until the boxes of cereal were down to about a quarter full and then tip them all into one box and shake it up - so everyone had to have mash up or go without. This is one of many reasons he is an X.
