M1 corridor, nice places?

I'm on my way home from London, up the M1.

Can anyone suggest an easy stop along the way? Woburn abbey is closed, I'm too tired for Bletchley Park.

Just a pleasant place for a potter in the sunshine. Maybe an ice cream or a coffee and cake.

I exhausted myself yesterday and want to break up the drive a bit!

Thank you!

woburn is lovely for a potter. you can park for free there and there is a lovely walk you can do into the grounds and see the deer. quite a few tea rooms, antique shops etc to look at also

Oh that sounds good! Thank you. I'd counted woburn out because the abbey is closed but if the place is nice and we can walk in the park... lovely.

that's cool, you turn right out of the car park and then walk through the gates, theres a woodland with a large pond/lake then a little further along some stables and you can walk quite far up towards the abbey and see the deer.
The village is really nice x
