What would they be? They have to be for you personally but others can benefit as a part of that. They don't have to be realistic or even possible.

Mine would be for a free return ticket to anywhere in the world for me and my family.

The ability to speak in any language.

To have a washing up fairy living in my house.

OP posts:
lostinspats · 30/03/2019 03:52

To be able to forget what I want to, a really good memory like mine is a terrible curse because it makes it so hard to move on.

To have nicer/better hair. I suppose that's a common one.

To avoid a long illness and just drop dead one day. This happened to a particularly unkind aunt years ago and it seemed so unfair when my other aunt was never able to have DC and suffered so bravely in her last years.

Rarfy · 30/03/2019 04:07

I would wish for no money worries. I am currently on maternity leave and right now i can't face the idea of going back and leaving my beautiful dd i have waited so long for.

I would wish my dm would be in better health so she could help me more now i am a mother.

I wish i could be preened and pampered before a big family event next week. Tbf if wish one was granted this one would be covered.

Palominoo · 30/03/2019 04:34

I wish I could be a shape Shifter at whim and turn into an exact copy of any living thing.

I wish I had the power of telekinesis.

I wish I could talk to animals and they talk to me.

Eminybob · 30/03/2019 04:45

Good health (for my whole family if that’s allowed?)

Millions of pounds in the bank

To wake up 3 stone lighter

DeadWife · 30/03/2019 05:27

That I could have the touch of healing. Literally touch and cure even the deadliest diseases.

That my mother had loved or even bonded with me. My life would be so different.

That I had the time and money to be an eternal student. Love studying.

I used to want to be a mind reader (as a preferred superpower) but I think now realistically that sometimes it's better not to know (!).

Lobsterquadrille2 · 30/03/2019 05:32

To be absolutely 100% sure that alcohol will never pass my lips again.

To have certainty that I will never be worried about money. That one is more about changing my personality trait than my bank balance.

To have three more wishes 😀

soulrunner · 30/03/2019 05:36
  • to live to be 90 in perfect health
  • teleportation
  • for my dc to have fulfillled lives ( not necessarily way though!)
soulrunner · 30/03/2019 05:37

Way=easy

L1989 · 30/03/2019 06:02
  • to find a cure for Rett Syndrome
  • to be filthy rich
  • to be slim 🤣
grumpyyetgorgeous · 30/03/2019 06:10

I'd wish to win the Euro lottery, millions of pounds so I could share it around.
Then I'd wish to be a size ten for the rest of my life no matter what I ate.
That my ds would stay safe and happy forever.

BlueMerchant · 30/03/2019 06:13

To be in perfect health
To be an hourglass rather than an apple
To be more adventurous

BellMcEnd · 30/03/2019 06:19

Great thread!

I’d like amazingly good health for me and all my family (including miraculously being 3 stone lighter)

I’ve always said the same as you, OP, to be able to speak and understand every language

To win £5million on the National Lottery so we could help a few friends and family who are really struggling plus sort the DCs out with houses etc

ems137 · 30/03/2019 06:57

To win at least £3mil on the lottery. This would buy us a beautiful villa to live in and one down the road to rent out as our income (can you tell me and DH dream about this regularly)

That MIL health improves so she can get out of the house by herself and do her own cleaning (she loves cleaning!!). She would also then love to come and do mine haha

That my children will grow up to be happy and successful

FairyMoppings · 30/03/2019 07:06

To have someone do my ironing. I fucking hate hate HATE ironing. I'd be very happy if I never had to pick up a sodding iron ever again.

Dream home in the countryside, with a lovely lush garden, space for growing my own veg and have some happy free range hens running about the place laying delicious eggs.

To go on holiday to somewhere different, but spectacularly scenic and beautiful at least once every single year.

Hecketyheck · 30/03/2019 07:17

Fairy I hearby grant your wish - you never have to iron again - there that was easy wasn’t it? I NEVER iron - life is just to short. Fold everything and put it away.

ItsClemFandangoCanYouHearMe · 30/03/2019 07:25

Healthy body and mind

A penny more than I could spend

Speak many languages fluently

And if I had a spare wish banging around I would be able to sing Grin

FairyMoppings · 30/03/2019 07:32

But... creases?!

Calixtine · 30/03/2019 07:37

To naturally crave only healthy, nutritious foods (this would ideally extend to the DC too!)

To be a calmer and more patient mother, to be able to parent without shouting and bargaining (am working on this)

No money worries. Would love to be financially secure enough to build our own home and choose a job purely for the enjoyment and fulfilment factor.

OhHolyJesus · 30/03/2019 07:41
  1. Revoke article 50
  2. To silence the trans ideology and let us all go back to living in peace and follow biological sex not gender
  3. To solve climate change overnight and prevent any further damage made by the human race immediately

...anyone got a powerful wand I could borrow?

squashedgrape · 30/03/2019 07:41

@Palominoo has someone been watching True Blood?

Ellabella989 · 30/03/2019 07:42

I’d wish for £20million, the ability to eat and drink whatever I want and never gain weight or suffer any ill-effects, and finally for my health to be great until I drop down dead at the age of 100

Eminybob · 30/03/2019 07:46

There are some really good ones here. I need more wishes!

happypotamus · 30/03/2019 07:54
  1. That work would get better, less stressful and demanding and all-consuming and with time for a break in 13hrs and less people ending up in tears. That would benefit me and my colleagues.
  2. A magic house-cleaning fairy, or a bunch of woodland creatures like in the film Snow White, so we aren't living in such a shit tip.
  3. Enough money to stop worrying about it. I don't want millions or to live in luxury. I want to be able to buy the house round the corner that I love which cost 3 times more than this house. I want to not have to worry about how we will get to the end of the month every month, to know how we will afford the summer holiday DH booked that I can't see any possibility of.
poglets · 31/03/2019 02:49

1 Health and safety of my children

  1. An end to financial worries

3 more time with my DH.

If I could have one thing for myself if would have been to find a meaningful/successful career - would help my mental health a lot.

Tavannach · 31/03/2019 02:54

To be rich enough never to have to worry about money again, and to be able to help family and friends who could do with an injection of carefree

To have perfect health

To have much better teeth
