Can you help me find a gift?

My daughters friend is having a tough time at school at the moment and we thought it would be nice to get him something to cheer him up.
His family have always been great to us and have helped out a lot recently. They also have a knack for buying really meaningful and thoughtful gifts (which I don’t!).
Any idea on something for a 7 year old boy, he likes reading and football but really wanted something that will let him know my daughter is there for him and cares about him. Am on a budget of about £10ish. Any bright ideas?

What about an experience such as taking them bowling?

Would this work?

It's aimed more at adults but if he's a good reader, this might fit the bill?
