Packing idea to make sure your child brings back everything from a school trip.

Pack a large, clearly labeled rubble sack. Clean stuff stays in their case, used stuff goes straight in the rubble sack...drum into them that nothing is left out. Label everything, biro on the washing label is fine.
Get DC to help you pack, so they know exactly what they are taking.
We've done this and have been lucky as everything has always come home...stinky.. soggy...but safely home.

Write a kit list. Laminate. Put in bag.
Expect 90% of it to come back.
Don't send anything you'd be that fussed about!

A zip lock bag for each day. Name and day written on it. They take it out in the morning and put clothes on, then at the end of the day put dirty clothes back in and seal it.

At that age. Get them to pack it themselves so they know what they have taken.

Give them the list, get them to look everything out on their bed. Then you check it and suggest amendments where necessary. Then watch while they pack the case, giving assistance if required but mostly them, again so they know what they have and where it is packed.

Name everything. Pack light. Don't pack a jumper for every day. They will wear one set of clothes for the whole time.
