Frozen salmon

Hi,

Bit of a boring question for a Friday night but does anyone know if I can cook salmon from frozen ?

I had some fresh salmon which I froze. The packet says to defrost before cooking. But I don’t see it being any different from salmon that already comes frozen and you can cook straight from the freezer.

Or have I missed something?

Thanks!

I do it almost daily with no ill effects. You could also defrost in microwave for about 2-3 min

I always do fishfingers and fish cakes from frozen, so don’t see why salmon would be any different

should be fine just cook it for an extra ten minutes at a slightly lower temp to make sure its hot all the way through

I am sure it would be fine.
I have just cooked frozen salmon though and just put it in the microwave on defrost for 5 mins before putting in the oven.
