Sling advice please

How do I get my baby to turn his head when wearing a sling? He's 9 weeks but whenever I wear him in a sling he faces my chest and tries to suck! I feel like he gets no air but can't get him to lie with his cheek on my chest unless he's really tired

Has he been fed to satisfaction when he goes in? Mine usually rooted primarily when they were hungry. If he's fed, does he take a dummy? Maybe try offering one in there. Otherwise, I just wouldn't worry and would go on with walking and moving about - he won't suffocate while awake and rooting and when he dozes off you can gently reposition his head if necessary.

Btw even facing in towards you he will breathe fine - the thing to watch out for is chin dropping to chest.

I normally try and make sure he's well fed before I put him in a sling, he's a constant cluster feeder though!
