Funny quiz team name

Come on Mumsnet help me out....

We used to play in a team with one insanely competitive member. If we didn’t win (or even if we did), she would keep replaying the quiz at every possible opportunity. ‘Oh, if X had said Kuala Lumpar instead of Quebec we would have gained two points’. ‘If only we had put 1933 instead of 1947 we would have won the history round’ etc etc. If her memory for trivia had been as good as her memory for questions we got wrong we would have been unbeatable. It drove us mad. Eventually we renamed the team ‘It’s Only a Quiz Sue’. It didn’t stop her going on but it made us all laugh and baffled the opposition.

Great thread. We always used to be The Gaza Strip Club (but this was many years ago before I realised it was somewhat tasteless).

I remember as a 15-yr old on a school ski trip years ago, a girl on my quiz team gave our name as “Norfolk and Chants.” - all the teachers fell about laughing and I only got the joke about ten years later 🙄

My DD goes to the pub quiz every week and they are "Trivia Newton John"

We had a quiz recently and were Quizzing me, Quizzing you, AhHa!

Every time the compere said our name we all called out AhHa.

We won!

Our regular team name is Captain Useless and the brains/babes (depending on how many of us there are) others we hear regularly have been mentioned but also include

Is there anything obvious your team has in common? The Eggheads teams tend to go for something related to that.

Good lord, yes BitofFun that list has some horrible entries, small minded and a bit pathetic.

Last quiz we were at we went as 'Les Quizerables.' It didn't go down well - the Quizmistress made a right stumble and grumble over reading it out. Every time. Usually with a sulky 'oooh, I don't know how to pronounce this one...'
