If you were going to donate to a mental health charity, which one would you choose?

Specifically would like to donate to a charity / charities that support people / their families with more severe mental health problems, and/or fund research into effective treatment that improves people's wellbeing.

A local branch of Mind. They are all self funding and don’t get much from the head office. They do amazing work - from lunch clubs/cafes to counselling and crisis work. So my local mind would definitely get cash.

A teenagers/child one as they are woefully underfunded

Any specific teenagers one MrsElijah?

One that is led by local services users they are being massively hit and lots are closing despite providing immeasurable support.

This talks about it more - www.nsun.org.uk/faqs/the-value-of-user-led-groups-2019-campaign

I was looking for something similar recently, but particularly related to reducing suicide rates. I approached a Professor leading research in this area. He recommended the Charlie Waller memorial trust. It is focussed on children and students, works with teachers and universities, and is very research led. It also funds some research. It is a fairly small charity. Charlie Waller was a (very) young man who took his own life.
