strange dent in shin

I have made an appointment with the doctor about this for tomorrow morning..

in the meantime and to ease my anxiety Dr goodle is not my friend I am just wondering if anyone has this, knows what it is, what causes it etc...

its on my right shin about half way down to the left as you look down... its a distinct dent in my shin. haven't bumped it. doesn't hurt. not sure how long it's bedn there but only noticed it a few days ago.

for background I am perimemo in my 50s, over weight by around 4st, no mobility issues

No advice just a bit of solidarity!
Like yours, doesn't hurt and no idea how it got there but it's been there for at least 20 years.
I like to believe it came from my alter-ego doing something exciting like paragliding or elephant taming, but it was probably just me walking into a low wall.
I'd take a photo to show you but it might scare the horses so best not

Did you ever get to the bottom of this @Se7en11 ? I've just noticed similar.
Dr Google suggests everything between imminent demise and nothing to worry about. I don't have any noticeable swelling in the area.
