DD is going to London Zoo this weekend and wanted me to ask some questions for her, anybody been recently?? I've not been for years!

Do they still do the entrance photos? Where they take a picture on arrival and you can pay for it if you want? DD is 17 and going on a date and she's a bit anxious about that! I know it sound silly but anybody know?

Also anybody eaten here? What are the prices like and is it any good?

Thank you Smile

We went a few weeks or so. Yes, they still do the entrance photos. They’re kept in a cabin near the exit, but we dodged it on the way out because the DC were playing up a bit.

The food in the cafe is decent, although slightly expensive for what it is. Not eye wateringly so though...

I haven't been for years, but if you look on their website you can download the menus and prices which will give her a bit of an idea. It is under the "Plan Your Day" bit.

Food was ok (5 years ago) but may be pricey for a 17 year old - taking at least drinks and crisps with them might be a good idea to keep the cost down.

Zoos are not nice really, best avoided.

I went for the first time earlier this month. We avoided the photos on entrance, didn't even notice they did them to be honest. We also took food and drinks and found somewhere to sit and relax half way through the day.

Price wise it was good value for the day, we stayed about 5 1/2 hours and saw some of the shows, also spoke to the staff who were all very knowledgeable and friendly. I really enjoyed it, although found it surreal being equally as close to a tiger as I was to some kids playing football on the park. Grin
