Noises outside

I'm scared - just heard the second loud noise which I think is a chair being pushed across the patio. It's below my bedroom window. And I'm alone and the cat is out, I think.

What was the first noise?

bsc · 27/03/2019 23:44

Could be a badger or a fox pushing it along?

S1naidSucks · 27/03/2019 23:44

Get up and put your light on. Open your window and shout ‘fuck off, I’ve phoned the police’. If there’s someone there, that should be enough to make them run, if not, no harm done.

That made me laugh S1naid. We are quite isolated and my next door neighbours (semi-detached) would definitely hear me. My first thought was a badger. I put all the lights on and went out with a big torch after the first noise, but couldn't see anything and couldn't tell if anything had been moved.

Try this, while telling your ‘dog’ to shut up.

"TYSON (sounds like a hard man) GET THE SHOT GUN, THERE'S SOMEONE IN THE GARDEN!"

wowfudge · 27/03/2019 23:55

Right, I'm okay now. I'm going to go with badger as the source of the noises rather than burglars pulling chairs around so they can stand on them and scale the front of the house.

DP isn't called Gary so that could make neighbours wonder what on earth is going on and give her interfering mother something to gossip about.

I'll save the barking dog sounds for another time.

Thanks all.

Oh dear god - just heard it again and realised it's the saniflo in the attic ensuite. There was a tap dripping after I cleaned it earlier!
