So DD (9) is going away with grandparents for Easter holidays she'll be gone for 9 days. DS is 18 months and still isn't sleeping though the night 100% (he sleeps maybe 4 nights out the week) and still boobs to sleep. While DD is away should I try to night wean and getting him settled without Boob?

Currently pregnant with 3rd baby but early days so would prefer to wean before baby is born anyways

Sounds a good time to do it.

How long does it usually take? Would the break be long enough? I wouldn't want to take a step backwards if it's not working when DD comes back. She has suspected autism and can't handle DS crying

If you stick with it 9 days should be plenty.

I'd say 3 days and the worst should be over.

I would. It only took my youngest at 15 month old around 2-3 nights to be ok without feeding at night. She is nearly 4 now though and still climbs into bed with me in the middle of the night most nights.

Perfect I'm actually excited and nervous too he's been a horrible sleeper and just this past month has started sleeping through
