Urgent help - pain relief when on low dose aspirin

Could anyone please advise? My dad has 75mg aspirin following a heart attack a few years ago.
He’s waking up in the morning with a bad headache (poss low blood pressure, it’s going to be checked over in the next week or so)
Could anyone advise what if anything he can’t also take first thing?

If he is on aspirin he should be careful about taking NSAIDS like ibuprofen. Paracetamol is fine.

Would he need to take a reduced dose though?

Surely the most appropriate person to ask of a pharmacist or a Dr, were all just random folk who could be talking nonsense!

Give your local pharmacy a call in the morning. Smile

No he can take 1g

Thanks - it’s just if he needs it.

Sassansbelle, Maybe if I explain a bit more, I was hoping that someone in a similar situation or pharmaceutical may have been about. He has bad anxiety attacks and he admitted tonight that for the last few days he’s been waking up in a morning, going dizzy and had a bad headache. We had the GP to him earlier who did a full check of Him (all ok but going to start daily BP checks) but I still ended up ringing 111 as he got bad again earlier this evening. I just wanted to be able to reassure him he didn’t have to wait 4 hours to take any more pain relief. He’s in his 80’s now and he used to be so confident, to see him when he’s got himself worked up when all I can do is talk him down, the more I can reassure him the better it is for both of us.
