Please reassure me that my boss won’t murder me

I’ve lost my work mobile phone.
Turned my house and car upside down and inside out. Checked every nook and cranny of the office.
We drive a lot for our job and I can only assume I’ve dropped it getting in or out of the car. I’ve called the petrol station and service station I’ve stopped at today asking if anything’s has been handed in and no Sad
Going to have to fess up tomorrow and I’m dreading it, I’ll obvioualy offer to pay for the replacement and any fine related to it. My boss is a nice lady but I’ve never done anything “wrong” at work before and I feel like a school child who’s lost their homework. I’m nearly bloody 30.
Someone give me a shake and tell me you’d not murder your employee who did this

It would just be claimed for on the work insurance. Really no biggie.

Please don’t panic it may well be insured. You won’t be the first or last person to have lost or broken beyond repair a company mobile. Hopefully it’s locked so no sensitive info can be accessed. Good luck Tomo x

Just to make you feel better ... my still in the box, never been touched expensive Samsung work phone got swept unnoticed into the litter bin by my desk. That was before ani took an extended Easter weekend break. On my return to work, noticed missing package, discovered the bin and larger dustbin had been emptied. So the wonderful all singing all dancing phone went to landfill.

i was made redundant four months later😃
