I hate play doh and my DS is making me get it all out and make him 6 billion snakes. Help.

Oh I hate it too. DD doesn’t make me get too involved thankfully but I find the mixing of colours v irritating and all the crusty crumbs of grey playdoh left everywhere grrr...and the smell...

Stayawayfromitsmouth · 27/03/2019 13:13

Once it's all accidentally dried out, never buy it again...

Love the smell. Hate the rogue bits that always end up squashed in rug and carpet and on shoes/feet...
At least he's enjoying himself ehGrin

KindergartenKop · 27/03/2019 13:28

I want to at least make my own models but he won't let me because I have to be constantly available to make snakes.

I see your snakes and raise you 100,000 ice cream sprinkles. Constant sprinkles. Sprinkles everywhere.

I once decided that I would be not only a fun mum, but also an environmentally aware one, by making my own playdoh. My son took one look at it and refused to touch it.

VelociraptorRex · 27/03/2019 13:45

And the colours - WHY do they have to mix them so they look like brown sludge, no matter what colours they start off?? Aaaarrrggghhh...

BlueMerchant · 27/03/2019 14:06

Make your own models and he has to guess what it is. If he guesses correctly- you make a snake!!

nowifi · 27/03/2019 14:30

It is everywhere in my house, I even found some on my pillow yesterday!

Draughtincluder · 27/03/2019 14:35

Can you at least turn the snakes into things? Y’know like pots or snails. I miss Playdoh.

HeritageCarrot · 27/03/2019 15:16

I actually like the smell but not the smashed in bits that you have to scrape off your clothes, furniture. I like that it will keep DGD in one place and happily occupied for ages. Her current thing is to combine play doh with the mice from her Happyland mouse house by covering them head to toe with play doh which she calls their flying toilets. They go on practice flights and just generally fly around. This can go on for quite a while. I think flying toilets sound really useful and I’d quite like one for days out.
