Think there’s some kind of wear red lipstick for dementia awareness day coming up

Yes. I can't wear it solid anymore as I'm old so I blot it and wear a balm to make the red more subtle.

I had my colour analysis done, the consultant said red is the only universal colour across the 4 seasons and everyone suits a shade of red. I was skeptical but she put a ‘rust’ on me and I love it so much I wear it most days.

I may be the exception. Every shade I've tried makes my mouth look huge.

Yes, absolutely. 100%. It's very hard to find a 'true red' though a couple from L'Oreal come close. Coral red looks much better on me than pinky red tones.

Yes of course. But lots of people don’t like wearing bright/bold lipstick or for that matter any lipstick. It can also take a while to find one you like and lots of people can take bothered with the time, money, effort to buy 20 different red lipsticks!

Fuck no. I've little narrow lips, mid 40s and any kind of red makes me look parched and wizened!

No. I have acne and any kind of red lipstick makes it more obvious.

Also I have big eyes and quite full lips so end up looking weirdly doll like with red lipstick. An ageing spotty doll.

Maybe, but it doesn't mean everyone is competent enough to apply lipstick my DH has to apply my lipstick for me.

There is a version of red that everyone looks good in and can wear on or near their face. But the point of makeup is to highlight, minimise, balance etc. I look bad in red lipstick even though my version of red is deep and rich. That is because I have really thin lips! Not because the colour doesn't work. My eyes are large so I highlight them and just gloss my lips. So no, red lips aren't for everyone

That is the theory, but I have tried lots of different shades of red, and none suit me at all, I was blond, now have white hair, very pale blue eyes.

I think the shade might suit you but youd have to work on how you wear it. I only wear matt bold red lipstick. I have variations from pinkier to berrier ones. I love a good red lipstick and there are shades i can wear to work and shades id only wear on a night out.

I can wear wine colour but no proper reds suit me at all.

I can't wear any lipstick 😢 my lips are too thin and I look stupid, any red would look ridiculous on me
