Where abouts in the UK is good for a half term break. Somewhere interesting with parks and things to do with kids.

Budget friendly options though, we live in NW and don’t want to drive more than four ish hours ideally.

would something like romney sands (static) caravan park in Kent suit you? there is a heated indoor pool, kids playground and it is very near the beach. If you prefer, they also offer apartments x

We went to wales last year, was cheap, fab and loads to do. Climbed snowdon. Haven site.

We find that city breaks are good at that time of year because we can do something indoors like a museum if it’s cold or wet. York is a great city for children and there are several free museums.

I'd second Wales. We spend October half term at a chalet park in Caswell Bay near family. Last year it was so mild we swam every day!

Edinburgh or Glasgow are great to visit and the weather is usually still ok at the end of October.

How about Derbyshire? You can easily get to Alton Towers (Staffs but not far) and the Heights of Abraham. Speedwell cavern is great fun too.

Oh these sound brilliant! I will have a look.

How about Keilder Water in Northumberland? You can book in at the observatory. My daughter did the family session and they got to build their own rockets and attempt to launch them. You can get to Carlisle and Alnwick easily
