Exhausted after being stressed and upset

This morning was extremely stressful and emotional I got upset and ended up crying. For the rest of the day I’ve felt drained, just completely exhausted. I’m finding this is becoming a regular response anytime I’m highly stressed or emotional. Is it an age thing? It never used to happen! I could literally fall asleep now if it wasn’t for the kids, my whole body feels heavy (more than normal Grin) and everything is an effort. I can’t understand why this is now my body’s go to reaction, it’s really not very helpful when I’ve got two kids to look after and a load of reports to write up.

Id say the crying was a result of the exhaustion rather than vice versa. But I know what you mean. Yes it feels awful and the only way to combat it is long term proactive self care. What do you do to look after yourself?
