DD is 6 months DS is 2 we all have gastroenteritis constantly cleaning puke and diarrhoea my house is a shit hole because we've had a few days in bed.

There both crying now DS waiting for me to come clean his sick up and I'm sat on the bathroom floor in tears. OH on his way back but he's not all that helpful.

I feel like absolute shit to top it off who knew gastroenteritis was so bad!

I really feel like packing up my bags and just leaving this fucking house we're always sick there is always something!!!

Has anyone else had days like this where they just want to leave? Or am I just an awful mum.

Pretty much every day for the first 6 months of DD’s life.

2 year old and baby is a particularly difficult stage and ill children are the worst. You have all my sympathy Flowers.

It gets so much better, I promise. You’re nearly through the winter bugs, next winter will be better, the one after that better still. Hang in there. And insist your OH takes over and you go to bed!

@minipie I really hope so! Ds was a really good baby I loved being his mum. Since having DD I just hate it she is such hard work. I just need a break I think.

Ah see I had my very hard one first so no nasty surprises with DC2. Do lean on your OH, I think they don’t always realise what a big step up it is from one to two especially if the first was easy and you didn’t need much help with him.

But yes it really does get easier I promise! Summer will be easier due to fewer bugs and warmer weather, you can get outside more and not so many clothes to deal with. Will your DS be going to nursery at 3 and if so when is that? That will help a lot.
