PayPal question

Please excuse my ignorance.. have managed to go all this time without using PayPal and have no idea how it works. I've had a search around online but can't really find what I'm looking for.

We're on holiday and want to pay to use the WiFi, but we need to use PayPal. I've just made a PayPal account and transferred money from my debit card over to my PayPal account (or so I thought) but it's not showing in PayPal. It is however showing as a pending amount from my bank account. Is there normally a delay? I definitely put the right details in so it can't be that I transferred it elsewhere.

I believe it can take 3-5 working days (or at least a couple of days) for the funds to transfer over. If you can see a pending payment into your PP account, sounds like you've done it all correct.

You'll most likely need the email address to send it to, to pay for the Wi-Fi, I've sent money via PP and it's been via email address (though I use it mainly for my eBay shopping problem...). I believe there's an option for either 'friends and family' or 'goods and services', make sure you use goods and services or you aren't covered by their guarantee if you don't get what you paid for

Can you setup paypal to direct debit your bank account? That's how mine works and it sends out the payment and the money comes out of my account the next day.
