Jacqueline Wilson - LOVELY

One of those lovely moments today.

At work and a friend called by with some of her DC. One of the DC has recently discovered Jacqueline Wilson 's books and I had another one for her as my DC having a clear out. Was serving and looked up and who was outside the shop? You guessed it!

Flew out to tell friend's DC (stage whisper Grin) and Ms Wilson looked over and BEAMED at DC, talked to her for around five minutes and signed her book for her.

DC totally thrilled and it's really warmed my jaded heart.

I LOVE JACQUELINE Flowers.

She is great, always friendly when I’ve seen her at events.

When I was an older child / young teen and read her books religiously, I used to write to her and she would write a lengthy letter back EVERY TIME. She must be a lovely lady.

I met her when I was 10 for a school thing, she read to us. She set us a poetry competition, I won, got a load of signed books as a prize. She was lovely to meet and listen to, a really happy memory Smile

Aww! We met her in Richmond Park once and she was lovely then too. She talked to my dd, suggested I take a photo of her with dd. Then later dd wrote to her and JW wrote a long personalised letter back. Really lovely.

Lovely.

I saw a clip on the cbbc Facebook page about her meeting a fan who knew she was going blind and talking to her about reading braille

MissMogwai · 25/03/2019 20:12

She is lovely. I took my DD to a reading by JW at MMU about 7 years ago and she (JW) was so interesting and engaged all the kids. She told them about how she began writing, about Jackie magazine and lots of other anecdotes.

My DD was about 10 at the time and so star struck and excited.
