Activities for 10yo's birthday party

DS2 is ten in a few weeks and would like a few friends over to our house rather than going out somewhere.

Going by previous experience the four kids he's invited will need some kind of structured activity otherwise they'll end up bouncing off the walls - they're unlikely to sit still and watch a DVD!

Any ideas for good party games / activities for this age - think they're a bit old for pass the parcel. We do have a garden and trampoline - fingers crossed the weather will be kind!

i know its not ideal but do you have a ps4/xbox? you could have a video games tournament (if you need more controllers then ask party guests to bring one). you can get cheap video games at CEX.

if you would rather they stayed off electronics, glow in the dark bowling is always a hit. fill plastic bottles with rocks, and then glowsticks. turn off all the lights and then try to hit the bottles.

Water pistols/super soakers if the weather is good.

A treasure hunt.

Making their own pizzas for dinner. And ice cream sundaes afterwards.

A nerf war in the garden or in the house if you are brave.
