And all other online estate agents.. does the agent or type of agent put you off viewing a house? Would you be put off by the owner doing the viewing? The house is a new build, it's never been lived it etc.

We've seen plenty of houses through purple bricks. Most of the time an agent has let us in, but just let us wander round without him. In one house the owner showed us round. It was OK, but I prefer having an agent do it as I don't have to be guarded about what I say.

Online reviews suggest PB isn't the best for finalising the sale once an offer has been made.

in the past we used a traditional EA and we always did the viewing. I prefered it anyway as we could answer questions direct . Know someone that used similar to purple bricks and it was fine, went through quite quick and easy. We will use the same. why be so guarded about it? just be super positive about your house and "sell it"!.

depending on the potential buyer I could pitch the house better eg I know where the park/ nurserys are for children, schools, bustops.....

We have just sold a house with them and it was faultless, you can choose whether to do your own viewings or not. You get a designated person looking after you and ours was always just a phone call away, I highly recommend them.

We bought our house through purple bricks. Was fine for looking round (owner showed us round which we were fine with) but when there were some issues post offer (owner wasn’t happy with being in at a certain timw for mortgage valuation) there was nothing we could do - the purple bricks agent was useless and we had to come up with solutions. Also his solicitor was the one through purple bricks and was also fairly useless. As it’s a fixed price and you have to pay whether you sell or not there’s no incentive for purple bricks to do anything post offer as they will get paid anyway.
