Alice he had a glorious voice. I'm so sad to hear this. Love the Walker Brothers and some of his solo work.

Lovely eulogy from Richard Hawley in one of the obits.

RIP Scott

He was such a beautiful man, and had that wonderful deeply sad voice. I loved him.

Smallfacesfan · 25/03/2019 10:41

I must admit I shed a silent tear this morning when I heard.

DareDevil223 · 25/03/2019 10:49

My favourite singer ever. I'm listening to Scott 4 and thanking him for the joy his music has brought me my whole life.

Oh, and wasn’t he so cool? As well as being an amazing singer and musical innovator, and an inspiration for so many more who came after.Sad

His voice always stopped me in my tracks; sad news.

My musical hero and absolute favourite singer. What an innovator and inspiration. RIP xxx

I was very sad to hear this news this morning. I idolised him back in the 60s when I was in my teens, he had the most wonderful voice, and looked like a god. I was very lucky to see the Walker Brothers when they were the support act to Roy Orbison at the then Hammersmith Odeon back in 1965, but they were the stars!
RIP Scott.

Just playing his greatest hits and having goose bumps on my arms!

Bluesheep8 · 25/03/2019 12:08

A rare talent, a true innovator and a unique voice. Rest in peace.

He had an unforgettable voice. I loved so much of his work. His interpretation of Brel was stunning. A true great.

RaininSummer · 25/03/2019 13:02

Oh sad, beautiful man and what a voice.

Auldspinster · 25/03/2019 14:02

Enormously sad to hear, he had it all.

Clawdy · 25/03/2019 15:52

NantheWiser you were so lucky to see two such wonderful acts. I saw some amazing performers in the sixties, but sadly, not Roy or the Walker Brothers.

NanTheWiser · 25/03/2019 17:15

@Clawdy, Lulu was also a supporting act (she was in love with Scott!), it was a truly wonderful night, even though the screaming drowned out most of the songs.

Wonderful voice, I have been binge watching "Jackie" on You Tube this afternoon. It makes you smile
