IVF pregnancy test understanding...

Hi

We are on our first try of ivf, we had an icsi transfer 8 days ago. Mu wife did a pregnancy test on day 7 and it was a faint line...she did another today and nothing. We should be doing a test in 5 days time, looking for some positives to cling on to.

My ivf clinic told me not to home test early as you can get false results both ways. They had me in for a blood test when I was 4+1 (although they prefer 4+2 but it fell on a weekend)

Try not to test early and wait until the test day they should have given you

Yeah that's what I have been telling myself and my wife. I suppose we have to forget the two results and just wait until Saturday. Thanks for your reply
