Traveling with baby - formula feeding

Hi everyone,
We are travelling to cyprus on holiday next month with my 4 month old LG, how did you deal with formula feeding?
Did you take powders and buy bottled water? Or did you buy ready made? And how can this be resolved when they need to be kept cool once opened?
What are everyone’s reviews and experiences on it?
Thankyou

I take enough ready made for the holiday. A hotel should have a fridge/mini bar in the room you can stash an open carton in (just beware of those minibars with sensors). If I’m out for the day I would just chuck what isn’t drunk at a feed. The only thing is that it does eat into the baggage allowance! If you do powder then get bottled water that is either a baby friendly mineral water brand like Evian or distilled water. You can’t use any old mineral water without checking the mineral concentration first. And obviously water for bottles needs to be boiled so you’ll need access to a kettle. For sterilising Milton tablets are good and you can get special bags.

Ready made for the journey and out and about.
Powder for at hotel, just using normal tap water but boiled first obviously as per instructions.
Worked for previous dc when 4 months and going away soon with different 4 month old so will do the same again. Also used Milton sterilising tablets and took a lunch box to put the bottles in!

I’m going to use a sealed container and Milton tablets.
I believe I can buy the water and have it relieved at the airport store, how did you keep premade formula cool throughout the day as surely the sun will warm it?

I traveled solo with DS when he was 3-5 months for 6 weeks in rural foreign countries. Just powder and boiled water in the hotel kettle. Washed with tap water and sterilized bottles. Never had an issue.

Yes you can usually get your formula delivered to the Boots at the airport to avoid taking it through security or having to check it. I’ve never done it though as the last thing I want with a small baby is more stuff to drag through the airport and carry on to the plane!

And if you do go down the ready made route then providing it’s unopened you store it at room temp and you don’t need to keep cold. If you’re going out then throw a carton and a sterilised bottle in your bag. Open and pour when it’s time for a feed. If you use part of a carton and want to save the rest for the next feed then you will need to refrigerate it straight away and use within 24 hours.

I took a box of formula, my cold water steriliser and a few cartons of ready mixed - by that age, DD would have pretty much a whole carton each feed so I didn't need to worry about storing the spare.
We were in a villa so I used bottled water to mix up the formula & took my mini flask.
