Need a new car - where to start??

I'm 5 months pregnant and discovered that my car does not have isofix fittings. So it looks like it would be best for me to buy a new (second hand) car. So, any recommendations?? I literally have no idea where to start when it comes to buying a new car!

You know you can buy non isofix car seats, just as safe.

Such a vague question..
Unless there is another reason you don't need isofix.
In my experience with silver cross and maxi cosi car seats they can be very safely secured in your car with a seat belt

You can buy the isofix bar and pay a garage to have it fitted. Will probably be cheaper than buying a new car!! Check with a garage first that they can do it on your car, but that’s what we did.

If you want safety, it's got to be a volvo. I read the other day, and I can't remember where to link for you, but there's never been a fatal accident in a Xc90 in the UK. Guess which car I want next?

It was also low on the car jackers list.. We're having a terrible spate of them and violent attacks at the door./on your drive for the keys, which has really put me off a new car but then I read all this stuff about the volvo Xc90 and I want one!

Thank you for the replies. I didn't know you could get isofix bars fitted - I'll definitely look into that.

Another vote for Volvos! V90cc here and love it. Super safe!!

If you do want a new car I highly reccomend a golf.
I have an 11 plate golf and it's got isofix fittings. It's the best car I've ever owned, once I've paid the finance I'm going to sell it and invest in a slightly newer version, but I think I'm going to stick with golf's for the rest of my life. So reliable.
