Having problems with my silver cross zest!

I've got an umbrella fold buggy- a silver cross zest. I had it closed in the car and now can't get it open! I unclip the side clip but can't get the wheels to the floor.

Bought 2nd hand so no warranty so any suggestions welcome!

On ours you unclip, shake it a bit to open it slightly then there is a red bit of plastic on the back where diagonal metal bars meet which you stamp down on; that unfolds it the rest of the way and locks it in place.

Thanks jasper, That's what I normally do but for some reason it feels stuck so putting my foot on the red but doesn't do anything.

It was a bit stiff when I got it so will try the wd40 again but I feel like something might have got stuck whilst it was in the car
So frustrating as I love it!

Mine has got stuck occasionally but normally when I'm trying to go the other way and release the locking system! (My usual tactic is to leave it and go a way for a few hours and hope it is fixed when I try again! - obviously not ideal if you need it folded/unfolded right then)

Going to try your tactic and leave til tomorrow morning and give it a bash maybe. Will be sad to have to buy another as it's my best charity shop bargin haha!

My MIL fixed it! There was a bit of plastic caught in the mechanism somehow. Good work MIL :)
